The high school basketball season is about to move into the playoffs and here are five of the best seniors to watch as they look to lead their respective teams to the WIAA State Tournament at the Kohl Center in Madison.
Chris Morgan
Kaukauna, 6-2, point guard

Why he’s on the team: With an average of 19.2 points and 7.1 assists this season. Engaged in NCAA Division I Purdue-Fort Wayne. Averaged 20.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 6.7 assists last season.
Max Nelson
Appleton North, 6-8, forward
Family: Parents, Hans and Mari; sister, Laura
Favorite food: macaroni and cheese
Favorite TV show: “Office”
Favorite school subject: Math
Favorite pro athlete: Devin Booker
Why he’s on the team: Involved in Division I Valparaiso. Averaging 25.3 points, 11.5 rebounds this season. Averaged 20.4 points and 10.5 rebounds last season.
Jackson Paveletzke
Kimberly, 6-3, point guard
Family: Parents, Jean and Julie; siblings, Ella and Olivia
Favorite food: Pasta
Favorite TV show: “Office”
Favorite movie: “Coach Carter”
Favorite school subject: Math
Favorite pro athlete: Tyler Herro
Why he’s on the team: Wofford’s commitment is averaging 29.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 6.7 assists this season. Averaged 19.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists last season in helping Kimberly to a 28-3 record and second place finish in the WIAA D1 State Tournament.

Why he’s on the team: Averaging 24.1 points and 8.4 rebounds this season. Averaged 21.7 points and 8.8 rebounds last season. Will play at UW-Green Bay.
Marcus Tomashek
Ashwaubenon, 6-5, guard
Family: Parents, Mark and Maggie; brother, Drew
Favorite food: wings

Why he’s on the team: Averaging 26.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists this season. Division II Michigan Tech rookie. Averaged 23.4 points last season.
