MANILA, Philippines—American filmmaker Caelum Harris leads Gilas Pilipinas’ 12-man youth squad heading to the Fiba Asian Under-16 Championship from June 12-19 in Doha, Qatar.

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) announced the list on Monday evening.

The 6-foot-7 Harris is joined by team captains Jared Bahay and Lebron Nieto.

Jacob Bayla, Apl Mcandrei Gemao, Jayden Jones, Kristian Porter, Sebastian Reyes, Mikhail Romero, Zain Mahmood, Alexander Konov and Lorenzo Competente round out the cast.

The Philippines are in Group C with Japan and Kuwait. The top teams from the four pools qualify for the quarter-finals while the second and third-ranked teams will face off in a crossover knockout to complete the quarters.

Josh Reyes will lead the Philippines, who are aiming to qualify for the Fiba U17 World Cup scheduled for July in Malaga, Spain.

Joseph Pangilinan, Elijah Yusi and Francis Veejay Pre are also part of the team as reserves.

Gilas Youth leaves for Doha on Tuesday evening.
