Caroline Ducharme and Dorka Juhász rehabilitate UConn women’s basketball players on court during Connecticut Sun – Hartford Courant game

UNCASVILLE — UConn women’s basketball players Caroline Ducharme and Dorka Juhász sat courtside to soak up Tuesday night’s WNBA game between the Connecticut Sun and the Dallas Wings at Mohegan Sun Arena.

The two Huskies, who stayed at Storrs to continue their rehab, said they watch WNBA games together every night.

Ducharme, a goaltender, underwent surgery on her left hip in late April to repair a high school injury she suffered in her freshman season in 2021-22. Juhász, a forward, had fractured her wrist during the NCAA tournament.

Juhász just had his cast removed on Tuesday and Ducharme went from two crutches to one. They were able to celebrate their progress with their first fun night since beginning the rehab process.

“We planned to come [see the] Connecticut Sun, but that’s the game we got to do here, so we were super excited,” Juhász said. “It’s different when you watch a team and you’re in person. That’s our two goals, it’s to play in the WNBA, so to follow all the games and see them in person, it’s always great to We like to support other women’s sports and we are very happy to be here.
