Local boys’ and girls’ basketball teams punch NorCals ticket – The Vacaville Reporter
With their section title banners yet to be hung in their gymnasiums, the Vanden High boys’ and girls’ basketball teams and the Dixon High girls’ team have learned their fate in the upcoming league playoffs. State of Northern California 2022 Sunday.
After winning the section title against Calaveras on Friday, Dixon (26-3) earned a No. 6 seed in Division III and will host No. 11 Chico High (19-8) on Tuesday. Chico lost in the semifinals of the North Section playoffs. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Barnyard at Dixon High.
After dominating the Sac-Joaquin Section Playoffs and 40-point rout of Lincoln in the Section Final, the Vanden Girls (25-3) were rocketed up two divisions and secured a No. No. 6 in Division I. The Vikings will host No. 11 Heritage of Brentwood (17-7) at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Sac-Joaquin’s back-to-back Division III champions, the Vanden boys have also been moved up a division and will be the No. 5 seed in Division II and host the 12th-seeded Central Coast Section champion. of series Menlo of Atherton, (20 -6.)
Tipoff for the girls is scheduled for 6 p.m. with the boys game to follow. Both games will be played at Solano Community College.
